As 2011 draws to a close, I wanted to take a moment to reflect back across the year and thank everyone for their involvement in and support of the Host Users Group; for without you, we would never be as successful as we are, nor would ^SMS|Host be where it is today.

November saw our Annual Conference; hosted this year by the Horseshoe Bay Resort and proved to be one of our best yet. The variety of Host, SpaSoft, Touch, ATRIO and industry focused sessions provided an expansive list of learning opportunities that offered plenty to choose from for even the most seasoned of Users. Our key note by Jason Ryan Dorsey was an absolute hit and quickly became the buzz of the conference. For those of you that are unfamiliar with Jason’s work I highly recommend you pick up his book, Y Size Your Business. His understanding of the internal and external communication challenges that our industry faces today across 4 generations of employees and guests is inspired. The conference also saw the announcement of next year’s conference location to be hosted at The American Club in Kholer Wisconsin and should be an absolutely fantastic event.

Remember that as we enter 2012, HUG is not just an annual conference; we are a 24/7, 365 days a year operation representing you. Make sure to utilize the tools available at your disposal, post questions and search out those answers you need in our Forums, download and customize that R&R report from our report library, submit an enhancement request or simply reach out to another user in the organization and forge a new friendship; the power is at your fingertips.
